Club 33 | Committees

Doing the work of Rotary begins in your committees

Furthering the work of Rotary in your community, your region or internationally happens in our committees. You have an enormous opportunity as a volunteer in Club 33 to become involved and active. It’s personally rewarding and great fun!

We have many levels of time commitments as well as different kinds of service to the club and community. We encourage you to join at least 2 committees and see what works best for you. Committee work is where you really get to know fellow Rotarians and share the fellowship that ties us all together.

With the information on our many committees in Club 33 shown at the right, you will be able to review each synopsis and see which ones are a fit for your personal interests. To become part of a committee, simply contact the chair via the email link to answer any questions you may have. Being part of a committee is the best way to get to know members, enjoy personal rewards and contribute to the success of Rotary.

Chair: R. Kendal Jones R. Kendal Jones Contact Information (Password Protected)

Purpose: To advance International exchange and programs including the solicitation and presentation of Paul Harris Fellows.

Activities/responsibilities: To solicit funds for Rotary International and work with District and Club on International projects, foreign group study exchange programs, Ambassadorial Scholars program and Polio Plus efforts.

Why join: This committee falls under the broad category of International Service. There is a potential wide range of projects that a member, if they wished, could involve themselves with on the District as well as International level. Our club has done many projects that could qualify as International Service but separate committees have handled most. This committee has in the past concerned itself with the annual Paul Harris Dinner and raising of funds for that dinner and for International Foundation. Time is ripe to expand beyond our historic activity and to become involved in the many International activities of Rotary.
