Club 33 | Committees

Doing the work of Rotary begins in your committees

Furthering the work of Rotary in your community, your region or internationally happens in our committees. You have an enormous opportunity as a volunteer in Club 33 to become involved and active. It’s personally rewarding and great fun!

We have many levels of time commitments as well as different kinds of service to the club and community. We encourage you to join at least 2 committees and see what works best for you. Committee work is where you really get to know fellow Rotarians and share the fellowship that ties us all together.

With the information on our many committees in Club 33 shown at the right, you will be able to review each synopsis and see which ones are a fit for your personal interests. To become part of a committee, simply contact the chair via the email link to answer any questions you may have. Being part of a committee is the best way to get to know members, enjoy personal rewards and contribute to the success of Rotary.

Latest News: Why did you join Rotary?

Those same reasons are why you should open the opportunity of membership in this incredible organization to new people. You owe that to them! Give them the gift of Rotary!

Of all the obligations a person accepts when joining a Rotary Club, the one in which most Rotarians fall short is in sharing Rotary.

Every individual Rotarian has an obligation to share Rotary with others and to help extend Rotary through proposing qualified persons for membership.

Have you accepted your obligation to share Rotary?

Current Goals: 1) Add 50 new members in 2009-2010.
2) Bring in younger members
3) Work towards greater cultural diversity
4) Play a key role in member retention

Purpose: To provide Rotary with new members who have demonstrated an attraction to service above self. The Membership Committee is charged with developing a list of qualified prospective members; shepherding them/their sponsors through the approval process; and helping ensure retention of those new members. Two subcommittees, Review and Retention, focus on specific aspects of the overall process.

Activities/responsibilities: On a continuing basis encourage Rotarians to submit referrals for membership.

Why join: Membership is the lifeblood of any organization. Helping to ensure the continuing health of Rotary is both fulfilling and fun by getting to know the new members.
